Bengaluru: The Lokayukta apprehended a health inspector of the BBMP in Bengaluru who was alleged to have demanded a bribe of Rs 20,000 for renewing a spa trade license.

The accused has been identified as Ramayya, a BBMP health inspector in the CV Raman Nagar office. He was arrested based on a complaint filed by Subrahmanya of Koramangala with the Lokayukta.

According to the complaint, Ramayya demanded a bribe of Rs 20,000 from Subrahmanya to facilitate the renewal of the license. Subrahmanya, who did not want to pay the bribe, filed a complaint with the Lokayukta.
