B’luru: BMTC bus driver, conductor given certificates of appreciation for returning purse

A BMTC bus driver and conductor were awarded with certificates of appreciation for their honest conduct of returning a purse that had been forgotten by a woman passenger.

The passenger had boarded the Vajra (AC Volvo) bus on December 6 and had forgotten her purse, containing Rs 15,000 in cash and a smartphone. The crew who noticed this contacted her with the help of the ID card found in the purse.

Later the woman had sent her relative to the depot at Subhash Nagar to collect the purse.

In view of this, BMTC managing director G Sathyavathi recently gave the crew — conductor Mahesh Babu and driver Harish a cash reward of Rs 500 each and certificates of appreciation.

Taking note of the crew’s exemplary conduct, BMTC managing director G Sathyavathi presented them with a cash reward of Rs 500 each and certificates of appreciation.
