B’luru: CCB police arrest drug peddler

CCB police have arrested a Kerala native on charges of peddling drugs to college students and other clientele.

The accused Mohammed Ranan used to import drugs through the dark web and paid for the same using Bitcoins. Police confiscated 49.30 grams of Ecstasy pills, 40 gm charas, 5 gm MDMA crystals and a laptop all valued at Rs 6.5 lakh from his possession.

He would charge anywhere between Rs 8-10,000 for 1 gram MDMA crystal, Rs 6- 7,000 for an ecstasy pill and Rs 1,500 for one gram of charas.

Acting on credible information, the police laid a trap and arrested him.
