A class 9 student of a private school in the city allegedly committed suicide by jumping before a moving train on Thursday.
The deceased has been identified as Ramya Murthy, 15, a resident of T. Dasarahalli. A passerby notified the railway police after spotting her mutilated body near the Shettihalli Railway Gate train tracks.
As per reports, Ramya had left home early morning after informing her parents that she was going for a jog. As per preliminary reports, the time of her death has been ascertained at 6.30 am.
A death note was recovered in which she has written: “I hate you Principal”. Names of a few students who were harassing her have also been mentioned in the note.
It is gathered that around 5 months ago, Ramya was pulled up by the school administration for bringing snacks to the school in violation of their rules. Her parents too were summoned and warned about the same. However, Ramya’s mother had filed a case alleging violation of human rights’ against the school administration.
Ramya it is alleged was being harassed and victimised by a few students and the school administration over this particular issue and hence she would have taken the extreme step.
Police are investigating the case.
