B’luru: Decomposed body of woman found inside suitcase floating in pond

A decomposing body of an unidentified woman, in her early 30s, was found inside a suitcase floating in a pond in Kengal Hekkalakate near Sompura, Nelamangala taluk on Tuesday.

Police said that a passerby, Arun Kumar noticed the bag floating in the pond when he was travelling to Dobbspet and stopped to take a look. When he went near the bag, he saw flies loitering around it and sensed a foul smell emanating from it. He alerted local residents and when they opened the bag they were shocked to find the decomposed body of a woman inside.

The woman was wearing red trousers, white top with blue and green floral prints but her identity could not be established.

Police said that the woman was possibly murdered elsewhere three to four days ago. They have formed three teams to solve the case at the earliest
