Bengaluru: A case has been filed against Cult movie actor Zaid Khan and director Anil over the alleged suicide attempt of a drone technician associated with the film

The drone technician, named Santosh, a resident of Agrahara Dasarahalli was reportedly upset as he was not compensated for the financial loss after his drone was damaged during the film shoot.

On November 23, he attempted suicide but his family found him and rushed him to a nearby hospital, where he is currently stable and out of danger. Based on Santosh’s statement, Magadi Road Police filed a non-cognizable report (NCR) against Zaid Khan and director Anil

Zaid, son of Minister Zameer Ahmad is the lead actor of the film and has taken on the production responsibilities.

The film’s shooting took place recently in Chitradurga, where Santosh was using a drone valued at Rs 25 lakh for filming. The drone was being rented for Rs 25,000 per day. During the shoot, the drone reportedly collided with a wind fan and was damaged. Santosh sought compensation for the repair costs from Zaid and director Anil, but both reportedly refused to pay. Additionally, it is alleged that they also took away a memory card worth several lakhs of rupees.

An investigation is underway, and if necessary, the police will also record statements from Zaid Khan and Anil.
