B’luru: Duo trick 6-yo into playing ‘hide-and-seek’, steal his gold jewelry

A case of theft has been registered against two men for allegedly tricking a six-year-old boy into playing hide-and-seek with them and stealing his gold jewellery, weighing 79 grams.
The incident took place on May 20 during a wedding function being held at Saraswathi Convention Hall on Magadi Main Road.
As per the complaint filed by the boy’s father, Raghavendra their boy was playing with a relative’s children near the hall on May 20 morning. Later around noon, the boy came to his father crying it was then that they noticed that a Dristi bangle weighing 15 grams, a bangle weighing 20 grams, a four-gram ring, and a gold chain weighing 40 grams worn by the boy were missing.
Upon enquiring the boy said that two men had called him and asked to play hide-and-seek with him. They however took off his jewelry and fled from the scene on a bike.
A case has been filed at Govindarajanagar police station and police are trying to trace the suspect based on the CCTV footage.
