Bengaluru: A passenger has filed a police complaint against a KSRTC depot manager and security guard alleging that they assaulted and threatened to kill him following an argument over a ticket.
The complainant, Raghavendra had boarded a KSRTC bus from Terminal-2 in Majestic for proceeding towards Hiriyur on December 23 night. When he sought a ticket for Hiriyur, the bus conductor informed him that the bus would not stop at Hiriyur but he could get down at the bypass.
Raghavendra agreed to it but the conductor said that he needed to purchase a ticket to Chitradurga to get down at Hiriyur. An argument ensued over this and Raghavendra decided to escalate the matter to the depot manager.
However, the depot manager reiterated that he must buy a ticket to Chitradurga itself. Annoyed over this, Raghavendra began filming their conversation over his mobile. At this time a security guard named Satish assaulted him and snatched his mobile phone. They also allegedly threatened to kill him.
Upparapet police have registered a case in this regard and an investigation is underway.
