Bengaluru: The headmistress of a government school in Bengaluru was arrested for allegedly making Class 6 students to clean toilets by using acid.
Upon coming to know of this incident, the student’s parents staged a protest before the Andrahalli Government Model Higher Primary school.
The headmistress Laxmidevamma was arrested based on a complaint lodged by Block Education Officer (BEO) Anjinappa in Byadarahalli police station.
Lakshmidevamma was suspended by the Department of Education after the incident came to light on Friday.
The Leader of the Opposition, R. Ashoka visited the school and lashed out at the Congress government over the development.
In a similar incident reported from Kolar students were asked to clean the septic tank in the premises of the school.
