B’luru: Man found guilty of sexually harassing girls; Sentenced to one-year imprisonment

Bengaluru: A man was found guilty of sexually harassing minor girls and sentenced to a jail term by a court here.

The 1st Fast Track Special Court (FTSC) sentenced the convict, Sudheendra of Chandra Layout, to a one-year prison term and imposed a fine of Rs 5,000 for the offense.

A few years ago, Sudheendra, a priest by profession, had been arrested on charges of sexually harassing minor girls in the locality where he lived.

Chandra Layout police, who took up the case, filed a chargesheet in the 1st FTSC court. Based on the evidence presented, the court held Sudheendra guilty of the crime.

The court also directed the victims to be paid Rs 10,000 as a relief.
