Baiyappanahalli Police have arrested four persons in connection with the murder of youth here.

The deceased identified as Satish (24) had recently gotten married.

As per the police, the accused Rakesh was in love with Satish’s wife for a long time. Though Satish was aware of his friend’s love for the girl he got married to her.

Rakesh had a quarrel with Satish over the issue but the latter warned him to forget about her as she was now his wife. This infuriated Rakesh and he plotted to murder Satish.

On Friday night, Rakesh and three of his friends laid in wait for Satish near the Baiyappanahalli flyover. When Satish was headed home after finishing his work the gang assaulted him.

Satish tried to flee the spot but they chased him and beat him to death. Police said that they will also subject Satish’s wife to questioning.
