B’luru: Man sets fire to girlfriend’s scooter for getting him arrested

Bengaluru: A man reportedly torched his girlfriend’s scooter allegedly for tipping off police about his drug dealing business which led to his arrest.
The accused, identified as Vikram (25) a resident of Halasur, has been absconding ever since police said.
According to police, Vikram was caught by the police while he was involved in drug peddling at Madivala and spent 8 months in jail.on charges of drug peddling.
Vikram was in a relationship with a girl. A few days ago, he came to the young woman’s house at night and set her scooter on fire, and fled from the scene.
A CCTV camera recorded a man running away from the crime scene, who was later identified to be Vikram.
Police suspect the arson to be an act of revenge. Vikram reportedly suspected his girlfriend of informing police about his drug dealings and getting him arrested.
Meanwhile, a case has been registered at Halasur police station about the arson.
