B’luru: Man stabs girlfriend over 10 times after she refuses marriage; arrested

Bengaluru: Police have arrested a man accused of stabbing his girlfriend more than 10 times after she refused to marry him citing her parent’s objection.

The accused has been identified as Dinkar, a native of Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh works at Logis Healthcare Company in Dommalur.

The deceased Leela Pavitra (25), a native of Andhra Pradesh was working at Omega Healthcare Company in Murugeshpalya.

Reportedly Dinkar and Leela had been in a relationship for over five years. However, Leela’s parents did not give consent for their marriage as they belong to different castes.

Angered over her refusal to marry him, Dinkar stabbed Leela on Tuesday evening near her workplace. A case has been registered at Jeevan Bhimanagar Police Station.
