B’luru: Notorious thieves involved in 60 burglaries arrested

Bengaluru: Hennur police have arrested notorious house burglars who have been involved in 60 thefts.

The accused have been identified as Fayaz Ahmed and Prasad. A total of 695 grams of stolen gold jewellery and a car were seized them, police said.

In order to evade arrest, the accused kept changing their location. They roamed in their car from one place to another, never staying in one place for a long time. They made a living by pawning the stolen gold, police said.

They were involved in the house break-in and theft at a judge’s residence under Galpet Police station limits in Kolar. They had unsuccessfully attempted to rob an ATM in Shivamoggahey and were involved in several cases of home burglary at Ramamurthy Nagar and Hennur localities in Bengaluru, police added.

Of the accused, Fayaz Ahmed was arrested by Peenya police in a case and was recently released from jail.
