B’luru: One dead, 5 injured after man goes on stabbing spree

Bengaluru: One person was killed and five others injured when a man went on a stabbing spree in Bengaluru here on Sunday, October 18.
The accused identified as Ganesh has been arrested by the police and an investigation is underway.
His family told the police that he is suffering from psychological issues.
Ganesh had reportedly left home saying that he is going to purchase mutton. Upon reaching the stall, located on Mysuru Road Ganesh picked up the knife and fled from there.
Later he is said to have stabbed six persons, one of whom died on the spot due to excessive bleeding. The deceased has been identified as Mari. Witnesses said that Ganesh ran for nearly 1.5 km from Balemandi.
The police rushed to the spot upon getting information of the incident and took him into custody.
Cottonpet police registered a case in this regard.
