B’luru: Samosa seller among two arrested for murderous assault on realtor

Bengaluru: Police arrested two persons, including a pushcart vendor in connection with the murderous assault on a real-estate businessman in KR Puram here.
Sohail Pasha (23) and his accomplice Shoaib (19) were arrested on Monday from Chamrajnagar and have been sent to judicial custody.
The duo had fired at the realtor, Auto Babu with a country-made pistol and later attacked him with a machete on Saturday. Babu who was admitted to the hospital is said to be stable.
According to the police, Sohail and Mirza used to sell samosa on a pushcart close to Babu’s office. Babu is said to have entered into multiple arguments with the duo allegedly as their business had caused vehicles to be parked outside his office. Babu had even complained to the building owner and recently the vendors were asked to shift their location.
The trio had even approached the police with both parties accusing one another of harassment. Police had asked them to resolve the issue among themselves.
According to police, Babu had hired few people to assault Sohail and Mirza on Ramzan. To exact revenge for the assault, Sohail allegedly shot at Babu on Saturday night and attacked him with Shoaib’s help.
A case of assault and attempted murder has been registered at the KR Puram Police Station.
The police are investigating the case to find if Mirza was also involved in the attack.
