Bengaluru: Shobha Khatavkar, a senior lady officer of the Karnataka police was found dead under mysterious circumstances at her flat in Bengaluru on Friday, local media reports said.
As per the reports, security officials of the apartment building knocked on the door at the request of the family members after repeated calls to her went unanswered and found her dead in the apartment in Putttenahalli at around 8 pm.
Shobha, who had served as the Vice-principal of Police Training College in Kalaburgi, had been recently elevated to the rank of Superintendent of Police. She may have died due to a cardiac arrest, reports added.
Meanwhile, local police have registered a case of unnatural death and are investigating the matter.
