Bengaluru: Police investigating a missing complaint of a 10-year-old in Bengaluru have arrested the boy’s mother, her lover, and his female friend on charges of murder.
On August 25, the woman Lakshmi (name changed) along with her mother-in-law filed a missing complaint about her son who she claimed was missing since February 7.
The police began questioning Lakshmi on why she didn’t approach the police earlier when she finally broke down and revealed that her lover along with a female friend of his had murdered and dumped the boy’s body at an isolated place near Baragur in Tamil Nadu. They later told Lakshmi about the incident but threatened her against revealing the truth.

In her statement, Lakshmi said that her lover was in a relationship with two women at the same time. The boy was tortured and killed for objecting to their relationship.
Apart from murder charges, police will also book the accused under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012, sources said.
