Nearly a month after a woman was run over by a car, the Karnataka State Road Safety Authority has shared the video of the mishap asking people to be mindful to avoid accidents.
The incident took place on 24 September. In the viral clip, the door of a parked SUV is suddenly flung open and hits a woman riding the scooter who gets thrown onto the road. A car passing on this road runs over her and stops immediately. The video ends with passersby rushing to check the woman.
The Karnataka State Road Safety Authority shared the video on their official Twitter handle and wrote, “Before opening the door of your car on public roads, make sure to check in the side or rearview mirror for vehicles coming from behind to avoid such accidents. Be mindful and careful! #roadsafety #rules #safety #drive #drivesafe #traffic.”

Netizens reacted to the clipping and blamed potholes and negligence by traffic police for the mishap. Notably, motorists can be seen avoiding a pothole that is seen in the middle of the road.
Meanwhile it is not known if the police registered a case in this regard.
