B’luru: Woman sexually assaulted in front of DCP office

Bengaluru: In a shocking incident, a two-wheeler rider sexually assaulted a woman in front of the DCP office near South End Circle in Jayanagar here.

The victim, aged 26, is a resident of Ashoknagar in Banashankari and works in a private company near Kudlugate. On November 6 night at around 11 pm, the victim was on her way home from Kanakapura Main Road when the two-wheeler rider grabbed her clothes and dragged her. When the victim resisted his molestation, the accused abused her.

In her complaint, the victim said that she shouted for help whereafter the accused fled the spot by taking a U-turn at Kanakapura main road circle

Police said they are examining CCTV footage of the spot to identify the accused and said that he will be arrested soon.

A case has been registered at Jayanagar police station.
