A gang allegedly assaulted a youth for advising his friend’s brother to avoid associating with them. The attack took place in Nayandahalli on January 26.
The victim Prabuddha filed a complaint at Chandra Layout police station in this regard.
In his complaint, Prabuddha, alleged that the accused—identified as Appu, Manda, Madan, Surya, Sandeep, Manoj, and Vishal—assaulted him after learning that he had warned Darshan, his friend’s brother, to stay away from them.
Angered by this, the accused stopped Prabuddha’s car near Nayandahalli and attacked him and his companions, Nandan and Manoj, using weapons. They also vandalized the vehicle before fleeing the scene.
A case has been registered, and police are investigating the matter.
