Bengaluru: A 24-year-old youth sustained serious injury after a mobile phone, kept in his pant pocket exploded while he was riding a bike in Whitefield.
The injured Prasad has been admitted to a hospital for the burn injuries. Doctors stated that the surgery would cost him around Rs 4 lakhs.
Prasad had bought the Android phone in October. Following the mishap, he reached out to the mobile showroom asking them to bear his medical expenses. The staff of the mobile store, however, were reluctant to consider his request.
It is gathered that Prasad would approach a lawyer in this regard.
Whitefield police said that no one has filed a complaint regarding the incident so far.
