BMTC Bus falls into Arkavathy River injuring 40 passengers; 3 in critical condition

Bengaluru: As many as 40 passenger have been injured as a BMTC bus fell into Arkavathy river in Bengaluru on Friday morning. The bus was moving from Tavarekere to Nelamangala and it fell into the river when the driver tried to prevent a collision with a vehicle.
The police along with the local people carried out rescue operation after the incident. The condition of the driver and other two is critical, sources said. The injured have been admitted to various hospitals in the near by areas of the city. The incident occurred at Tavarekere police station area limits.
