Boat capsizes due to high waves in Kundapur; 5 fishermen rescued

Kundapur: A boat that went fishing capsized in the sea due to high waves near Gangolli on March 30.
It is gathered that around 5 men who had been fishing on the boat were rescued by the fishermen in other nearby boats.
The rescued men have been identified as Nagappa Rama, Sachin Ullas Kudthalikar, Deepak Narayana Kharvi, Subhash Gangeshwara and Suraj Kumar Bhagat.
The boat named ‘Manal’ owned by Mohammed Hanif of Kutpady sunk into the sea after the fiber sheet below the engine tore. The loss is estimated to be around Rs 25 lakh.
A case has been registered.
