Belthangady: The dead body of a youth who disappeared under a landslide that occurred on January 25 was found on Tuesday, February 16, at Bangarapalke Falls, near Malavanti village in the taluk here.

The deceased Sanath Shetty’s (20) body was found after 23 consecutive days of search operation as it was stuck under mud and rocks.

Even though there was no electricity connection at the spot of the landfall all efforts were made in the search operation with coordination between district administration, locals, and volunteers.
