Bois Locker Room: 15-yr-old held, 22 other members, mostly students identified

New Delhi: Cyber crime personnel of the Delhi police have detained a 15-year-old boy, student of a reputed school in the national capital in connection with the Bois Locker Room case.
The Bois Locker Room happens to be an Instagram group, consisting mostly of Class 11 and 12 students from three prominent schools in south Delhi that chatted about rape of schoolgirls.
The police have confiscated the mobile phone of the detained student and have also isentified 22 other members of the group. These students are likely to be summoned for questioning,
Details of the chatgroup emerged on Sunday after screenshots of the lewd chats and morphed images exchanged on this group went viral on social media. Taking cognizance of the incident Delhi Police cyber cell swung into action and the group was deactivated.
A case under Section 465 (forgery), 471 (using as genuine a forged document or electronic record), 469 (forgery for purpose of harming reputation), 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) of Indian Penal Code and Section 67 (publishing or transmitting obscene material in electronic form) and 67A (publishing or transmitting of material containing sexually explicit act in electronic form) of IT Act.
