Boliyar stabbing incident: Police arrest seven more persons

Konaje police on Wednesday arrested seven more persons in connection with the stabbing incident of two BJP workers in Boliyar here. With this, a total of 13 people have been arrested so far.

The arrested are identified as Tajuddin alias Siddique, Sarwan, Mubarak, Ashraf, Tallat, Imran, Koli Irshad.

Two BJP cadres — Harish Dharmanagar and Nandan were stabbed, while another was allegedly thrashed while celebrating the swearing-in of the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre. The clash erupted as the group was raising slogans near a mosque.

Earlier police had arrested six accused and produced them before the court in connection with the stabbing incident.

A search for the absconding accused is ongoing.
