Boloor woman tests positive for COVID-19; state tally rises to 557

Bengaluru: A 58-year-old woman from Dakshina Kannada’s Boloor and 21 people from other districts of the state were tested positive for COVID-19 on Thursday, April 30, with this the total number of cases in Karnataka reached to 557.

As per the Karnataka health department’s mid-day bulletin, out of 22 cases, one each case was reported from Dakshina Kannada, Tumkur, and Davanagere. Two cases were reported in Vijayanagar, three cases were reported from Bengaluru and 14 cases were reported from Belagavi.

The Boloor woman who was tested positive today (Thursday, April 30) contacted the infection from patient number 501.

Till date 557 positive cases including 223 discharges and 21 deaths have been reported in Karnataka.
