Bengaluru: Indian E-commerce giant Amazon is got caught in yet another controversy as thousands of twitteratis are clamouring to #BoycottAmazon for selling products that disrespect Hindu religious sentiments.
The outrage went viral after Anshul Saxena, a Twitter user, posted pictures on amazon selling multiple toilet covers with Hindu deity image on top
Amazon is one of the largest e-commerce platforms in the world and the company sells everything from groceries to electronic appliances.
The ‘#BoycottAmazon’ is trending #1 in India at present as Twitterati are protesting against the display of products such as doormats, flip flops, shoes and toilet seats which had inscriptions of India’s national colours and Hindu religious symbols.
What the hell is this Amazon? (@AmazonHelp, @amazon)
How many times you will hurt the sentiments of Hindus? Why do you do this every year, every time? Till when will this continue? Will it ever stop? pic.twitter.com/XuwlHHu4qY

Calling out Amazon for hurting Hindu sentiments thousands of twitteratis expressed their anguish all over social media
This is not the first time Indian Twitter has come together for boycotting Amazon. Earlier last year a similar hashtag was doing rounds on Twitter for carrying an image of Mahatma Gandhi and tricolour on footwear
