Bengaluru: Indians live on the principles of equality, democracy, liberty, fraternity, and socialism, taught to us by our Constitution, designed and prepared by Dr B R Ambedkar, also known as the father and chief architect of the Indian Constitution.

On Ambedkar’s 129th birth anniversary, Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee president DK Shivakumar informed that the Karnataka Congress leaders and workers will be reading the Preamble of India at 11 AM on Tuesday, April 14.

Taking to Twitter Shivakumar wrote, “As Prime Minister is addressing the Nation at 10 AM, Karnataka Congress Leaders & Workers will #ReadThePreamble at 11 AM. Please read the preamble from wherever you are. Let us reaffirm the faith we have in the principles of our constitution during this time of national crisis.”

The 21-day nationwide lockdown to curb the spread of coronavirus ends on Tuesday and the prime minister is likely to talk about its possible extension.

In another tweet he said, ” JP Nadda ji, Thank you for accepting my non-partisan suggestion of taking a pledge to uphold the ideals & tenets of our Constitution by reading the Preamble on Ambedkar Jayanti. At 11 AM on Tuesday, April 14 all of us will #ReadThePreamble wherever we are & remember Babasaheb Ambedkar.”
