Udupi: Culture Minister V Sunil Kumar said that the Brahmashree Narayana Guru Corporation will be set up soon.

Speaking after participating in the celebrations of Sri Narayana Guru’s 167th Jayanthi on Monday here he said that the exact scope of the corporation will be set after discussions with Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.

Narayana Guru was a 19th-century social reformer who worked for the upliftment of the downtrodden in coastal Karnataka and Kerala.

Kumar also said that that the issue of reducing the time of the State’s anthem is also ongoing as the biggest hurdle is the non-uniformity of the music, rhythm and the portrait of Goddess Bhuvaneshwari.
