Brahmavar: Cops thwart illegal cattle transportation; one arrested, three flee

Brahmavar: Kota police officials on Friday thwarted an illegal cattle transportation bid by seizing the truck and arresting the accused near Sastan Junction in the taluk.
It is said that the pick-up truck was illegally carrying cattle from Saligrama to Mangaluru. The accused noticed the police officials and stopped the vehicle 50 meters ahead.
The three men inside the vehicle had escaped and upon inspection, police found a cow, two male calves, and two buffalos in the vehicles.
A case has been registered and an investigation is underway.
