Brahmavar: Missing man found dead in river

Brahamavar: A 60-year-old man who was reported missing two days has been found dead in Uppoor river near Santhekatte, on Saturday, July 10 morning.

The deceased has been identified as Sridhar Mayya (60), a resident of Kameshwara temple campus, Baikady village. He had gone missing on July 8, Thursday, and on the same day, nearby Kameshwar temple received a suicide note written by the man.

Police suspect that the man must have jumped into the river on Friday. Locals spotted the body floating and informed the police.

Mayya was living with his wife and daughter. The suicide note stated that he is depressed due to severe leg pain and hiccups and does not wish to live.
