Ramnagar: RTI activist Venkatesh has died on Sunday after he was attacked by a gang with weapons, who cut off his leg and hand before fleeing.

The 43-year-old had been admitted to a hospital where his severed limbs were rejoined.

The assailants assaulted Venkatesh severing his right hand and leg, they then fled the scene after Venkatesh’s screams drew passersby. A profusely bleeding Venkatesh was later rushed to a hospital.

The police, who have been searching for the culprits, have apparently traced them after going through CCTV footage.
