Brutal murder of CPI(M) activist at Uppala

Kasaragod: Four unidentified assailants brutally murdered a CPI(M) activists at Sonkal in Uppala on Saturday , late night. The deceased has been identified as Abubakar Siddique (21), from Sonkal. Abubakar worked in Doha and had come few days back home.
According to the reports, four unidentified assailants came on bikes and attacked Abubakar at around 11 pm. The victim was grievously injured and admitted to a hospital in Mangaluru, but he failed to respond to the treatment and his injuries claimed his life.
CPI (M) workers have accused BJP for the act and have called for a protest in Manjeshwar taluk at 2 pm on Monday, August 6th.
Kasargod DySP Sukumaran, Kumble circle-inspector Prem Sagar and Manjeshwar police have visited the spot. The police are investigating the attack and the security in the area has been tightened.
