Bengaluru: Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa on Saturday, December 19 gave a green signal for reopening of schools for 10th and 12th standard students in Karnataka.
After holding a meeting with the concerned officials, BS Yediyurappa directed the education department to reopen schools for 10th and 12th standard students in the month of January.
The schools have been shut since March 24 because of the coronavirus-induced lockdown. The government faced opposition whenever it tried to re-open the schools as COVID-19 cases were on the rise.
