BSY holds review meeting with BWSSB officials

Bengaluru: Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa on Tuesday held a meeting with Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board officials and reviewed the developmental works.
He said that currently, Bengaluru’s water leakage is 36% and the board must aim to minimize pilferage and leakage of water by 20% in the coming years.
He ordered the officials to submit a report containing detailed information on reduced water leakage in other cities.
Also, Yediyurappa said installation works of drinking water pipes in 110 villages have been completed and water is being supplied to 51 villages. By December 2022, the remaining 59 villages will also be supplied with drinking water.
The Rs 5,500 crore Cauvery Water Supply Scheme will be completed by 2023. The project will augment the city’s drinking water supply by 775 Million Litres of Water per Day (MLD), he added
