‘BSY invited for foundation stone laying ceremony of Beary Bhavan’

Mangaluru: Karnataka Beary Sahitya Academy, Rahim Uchchil informed that the state government has released Rs 3 crores for the construction of Beary Bhavan in the district.

Speaking with this regard he said, “25 cents of land in Neermarga has already allotted for the Beary Bhavan. The foundation stone laying ceremony will take place soon, in the presence of Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa.”

He further thanked BJP state president Nalin Kumar Kateel and minister C T Ravi for getting the funds released.

Similarly, the Kannada and Culture Department of the state government has sanctioned Rs 5 crores towards the implementation of Konkani Bhavan, out of which Rs 3 crores has been sanctioned with immediate effect.

“A sincere thanks to Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa and minister C T Ravi for acknowledging the request. District in-charge minister Kota Srinivas Poojary and Mangaluru South MLA Vedavyas Kamath are already in search of land to construct the Konkani Bhavan. I hope the Bhavan comes up soon,” state Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy Dr Jagadish Pai in a press note.
