BSY pays tributes to Jawaharlal Nehru on death anniversary

Bengaluru: Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa on Thursday paid tributes to Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru on the first Prime Minister’s 57th death anniversary.
CM also garlanded a portrait of Nehru at Bengaluru.
Nehru, the first prime minister of India, held office between August 1947 and May 1964. He is also called the Architect of Modern India.
In 1929, he became the president of the Congress party. He was married to Kamala Nehru and they together had a daughter – Indira Gandhi.
