Bengaluru: Former chief minister B S Yediyurappa will be seen in a cameo role in a Sandalwood movie soon.
The politician will act as himself as the chief minister in the movie, based on the real-life events of a girl’s struggle to write a NEET examination during the Covid pandemic.
It may be recalled that Tanuja, a poor girl from Shivamogga, approached the then Chief Minister Yediyurappa and State Health Minister Dr. Sudhakar about her inability to write NEET medical entrance examination last year. After the government’s intervention and help from journalists, the girl made it to Bengaluru to appear for her examinations.
Director Harish M D Halli has taken up the project to tell the interesting tale of this NEET aspirant. As per reports, Yediyurappa has finished a part of the filming.
TNIE reported that Dr. Sudhakar will also make an appearance as himself in the movie and Sapta Pavoor of ‘Sarkari Hiriya Prathamika Shale Kasargod’ fame has been cast in the lead role.
