Bengaluru: Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa has decided to self quarantine himself after his driver and few other employees at his home office ‘Krishna’ tested positive for coronavirus.
Yediyurappa informed that he will carry out all official duties from his residence itself via video conferencing facilities. “There is no reason to worry, I am healthy.”
Yediyurappa will now move into his official residence Cauvery, at Kumara Park Road where he will home quarantine self for next five days.
It maybe recalled that ‘Krishna’ had been sealed earlier last month after four government employees – two police personnel, an electrician and a person from fire and emergency service – tested positive on June 27. Yediyurappa had returned to Krishna on July 2 following the sanitisation process.
CM’s political secretary, MP Renukacharya, informed, “The CM is healthy and there is no problem. He, however, decided to be self quarantine.”
