The deceased, identified as Rajendra Goyal, was a resident of Uttam Nagar, they said.

The incident took place at 9:15 am, infront of Kanak Banquet Hall in Ranhola’s Vikas Nagar, where Goyal had come to supervise the construction work of a banquet hall, a senior officer said.

Goyal had parked his vehicle and was in the driver’s seat when four men came on two motorcycles and shot at him. He sustained five bullet injuries in his chest, he said.
