Bengaluru: Congress Legislature Party leader Siddaramaiah said that the BJP’s poll manifesto which was launched on Monday, April 8 was a bundle of lies and questioned what was new in the manifesto?
Addressing campaign rally for Bangalore Central candidate, Rizwan Arshad here Siddaramaiah said “Be it Ram Mandir or the common civil code, they all have been their agenda ever since the BJP was formed 30 years ago. Theirs is nothing but a bundle of lies.”
He further added that it is Modi who is allowing his corrupt and industrialist friends to loot and scoot from the country.
“Modi’s term in power has brought smiles to the rich man’s face and tears to the poor. On the other hand, the waiving of farmer loans in Karnataka and the launch of several Bhagyas are enough to prove that Congress is busy helping the poor,” he added.
Speaking on the chowkidar campaign he said that Mai Bhi chowkidar campaign is nothing but an insult to honest chowkidars who toil day and night for a menial salary.
BJP leaders like Amit Shah, B.S. Yeddyurappa, Katta Subramanya Naidu and many leaders who have been to jail for committing crimes are prefixing chowkidar to their name, he said.
Siddaramaiah also tweeted: Jhumla gang of BJP have taken little efforts to prepare their new manifesto. It is just a rephrased copy of their old one. This is a sign of failure of Narendra Modi to deliver as promised in 2014. Why will people vote BJP again after seeing #BJPJumlaManifesto?
