Local residents halted buses at Kaikamba Junction on Friday, as they condemned the tragic incident that resulted in the death of a bike rider near Gurupura Junction on Thursday.
The victim, identified as Santosh Kumar from Polali Kariyam, lost his life in the unfortunate accident.
The protest at Kaikamba Junction caused a traffic jam in the area. With buses being prevented from leaving the area, passengers heading towards destinations such as Moobidire-Mangalore, Bajape, Polali B Road, and others were left stranded.
Authorities from the Bajpe Thana police station arrived at the scene and are currently engaging in discussions with the locals to address their concerns.
