Bus-lorry collision in Vittal; 15 goats dead

Puttur: In a crash between a college bus and a lorry transporting goats, 15 goats were killed on the spot.

The college bus belonging to Markazul Huda Ladies P.U. College in Kumbra was on its routine of dropping the students back home. The lorry was transporting sheep and goats from Mangalore to Puttur via Mani-Mysore State Highway when it had a head-on collision in Mittur.

Miraculously all the college students in the bus escaped unharmed in the incident. The lorry rolled onto the road as a result of the accident killing over 15 goats and sheep.  Vittal police arrived at the spot following the incident and a case has been registered.
