PTI, Oct 24, 2024, 8:30 AM IST

The Congress party has finalized and announced its official candidates for the Channapatna and Sanduru constituencies late Wednesday night.

The by-elections for Channapatna, Sanduru, and Shiggaon are scheduled for November 13. As anticipated, the Congress has declared C.P. Yogeshwar, who recently joined the party, as the official candidate for Channapatna. For the Sanduru constituency, the party has nominated E. Annapurna, the wife of former MLA and current MP E. Tukaram.

Regarding the Shiggaon constituency, the Congress has not yet announced its candidate. The party faces significant competition in selecting either a Panchamasali candidate or a Muslim candidate, leading to indecision.
