Byndoor: Taluk office here has no tehasildar

Byndoor: Two years have passed since the announcement of the Byndoor taluk. However, essential schemes and projects for the taluk centre have not been implemented yet.
The tehsildar’s post has also been vacant for the 2 months leading to a loss in governance.
The State government had announced wholesome grants for the development of the taluk which has 15 gram panchayats and 1 town council. Major projects are expected to be implemented soon, however, the lack of adequate management of the essential revenue system is putting the taluk administration on a backtrack.
Presently, the Brahamavar tehsildar comes here to attend to the administration’s need twice a week.
The government has also released grants for the construction of a mini Vidhana Soudha in the taluk centre which will house all the offices of the taluk administration.
Residents of the taluk, presently, have to go to the Kundapura mini Vidhana Soudha for work related to the food, social welfare, horticulture and customs department.
“The government has appointed a total of 35 new tahsildars. An official tehsildar will be appointed for the Byndoor taluk soon. The pooja for the mini Vidhan Sabha, which was delayed due to the gram panchayat elections, will be held soon,” said BM Sukumar Shetty, Byndoor MLA.
“The appointment of tehsildars is the authority of the State government. Along with Brahmavara, Byndoor has been given as an additional responsibility. Fast and adequate service to people and disposal of files been done,” Kiran Gaurayya, tehsildar.
