Byndoor: Two held for theft of cattle

Police have arrested two persons in connection with the theft of cows in front of a hotel in Shirur village under Byndoor police station limits.

The arrested are identified as Abdul Samad (27) and Abdul Rehman (25), residents of Kodi, Kundapura. They were apprehended near Koteswara-Haladi Road. The police seized two cars, valued at around Rs 9 lakhs, a mobile phone, and a knife from their possession.

A team of police personnel under the guidance of Udupi District Superintendent of Police Dr. Arun K carried out the operation.
