Bypoll to one RS seat in K’taka on Dec 12

Bengaluru: The the Election Commission on Thursday announced by-polls for one Rajya Sabha seat in Karnataka, which fell vacant recently.
The Bypolls will be held on December 12, and counting of votes will also take place on the same day after the polling concludes, the Election Commission said.
The seat fell vacant after Congress member K C Ramamurthy resigned to join the BJP. However, Ramamurthy’ tenure was to end on June 30, 2022.
