Amulya who was arrested on sedition charges soon after the event was produced before a local court and has been sent to 14-day judicial custody.

In a tweet, on Thursday Hegde opined that the state government should slap sedition charges against all those who shared the dais with Amulya when she shouted “Pakistan Zindabad (Long live Pakistan)” slogan.

“Under the guise of opposing #CAA_NRC, protesters are indulging in anti-national and anti-Hindu movement. The central and state government should take this seriously and initiate strict action,” read the tweet.
